The final day of our International Summer School at Stirling University once again brought smiles, laughter, and plenty of proud moments as students completed their end-of-course presentations. After two weeks of intensive English learning, the presentations mark both the conclusion of the course and the awarding of final marks.
Far from being stressful, these presentations are designed to be relaxed and enjoyable. Students choose their topic at the start of the second week and spend time preparing an introduction before creating a colourful picture board featuring their name and topic on the final day.
Each student presents within their own small class group, surrounded by classmates and teachers they’ve spent the past two weeks with—making the environment supportive and friendly. Presentations usually last around five to ten minutes, giving everyone the chance to share something personal and interesting in English.
As always, there was a fantastic variety of topics this year, ranging from family pets and favourite hobbies to memorable holidays and sports. The experience not only helps students practise their English speaking in a fun and creative way but also builds confidence that will serve them well in future school or work situations.
At the end of the article, you can find a gallery of photos from this year’s presentations, capturing some of the highlights. You can also view the full 2026 program, now open for registrations, by clicking here.
